Top Scorers

Updated as of 19/09/2011

After another action-packed summer the Top Scorers from both the Football and Hurling Championships have now been confirmed.

In Football Colm Cooper's tally of 1-3 at the weekend ensured he moved to the top of the scoring charts but that is unlikely to be much consolation to the Kerry star.

Cooper’s haul sees him overhaul the long time leader, Wexford’s Ben Brosnan, by a single point to top the charts on 2-27 (33).

Bernard Brogan was also a big mover with his 0-6 moving him up to third in the charts - four points behind Cooper.

After a fine display at midfield in the final Kerry's Bryan Sheehan moved into the top ten after his four points saw him finish the season with 2-18 to his name.

Dublin's Paul Ryan topped the Hurling Scoring Chart with a tally of 2-47 after a rigid Kilkenny defence ended the hopes of Tipperary's Lar Corbett and Eoin Kelly in the final.

Kelly tapped over 0-8 to climb up to fourth in the table but the biggest surprise of all was the fact that goal-machine Lar Corbett was held scoreless in yesterday's All-Ireland decider.

2010 saw John Doyle, Kildare top the scoring charts in Football with 1-49 (52) while Eoin Kelly of Tipperary scored 3-43 (52) to top the Hurling scoring charts.
