Club Officer Training 2024/2025

The GAA, LGFA, and Camogie Association have announced the next phase of training for Club Officers.

The GAA, LGFA, and Camogie Association have announced the next phase of training for Club Officers.

The GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association are pleased to confirm the next phase of Club Officer training scheduled for the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025.

The Planning and Training Committee has worked closely with the Provincial Councils, County Committees, LGFA and Camogie Association to make a range of training opportunities available to both new and existing Club Officers. As part of an effort to acknowledge the contributions volunteers make to our Associations, a scheme will be introduced in 2025 recognising active volunteers by providing meaningful and beneficial rewards.

Recent engagement with Club Officer training is one metric that will be used to determine a volunteers level of activity. This means that volunteers completing Club Leadership Development Programme modules in 2024 and 2025 stand to benefit beyond the valuable skill and knowledge development gained from completing modules.

David Denieffe, Chairperson of the Planning and Training Committee, highlights the considerable benefits of the training courses. "There is support for people fulfilling the key roles within our clubs and counties," he explains.

"The supports are role specific and are in key areas that people need support in. If you look across at the range we've put together, it covers nearly everything you need if you're trying to run a club or fulfil a key role within a club. That is the strength of it.

"You look at the range of training material available online, it really is very powerful and useful. People should make use of it."

Here is a summary of what’s available:
