As signatories to the White Ribbon campaign, the GAA is committed to promoting causes that raise awareness about gendered based violence.
To this end, before Sunday’s All-Ireland Final between Armagh and Galway, GAA President Jarlath Burns met the family of Natalie McNally who was killed in her Lurgan home in December 2022.
Natalie’s parents, Noel and Bernadette, and brothers Declan and Niall, have undertaken a number of fund-raising and awareness initiatives for Women’s Aid since her death.
The latest saw the two brothers walk from Craigavon to Croke Park last week with the journey culminating on All-Ireland Final day where they were greeted at headquarters by fellow Armagh native, Burns.
