Paul Mannion is relishing Dublin's upcoming challenges in the All-Ireland series.
Standard bearers Dublin face Roscommon, Cavan, and Mayo in Group Two with the Kilmacud Crokes attacker enjoying the busy schedule. “For years there probably wasn't enough games and it was probably too long in between each one,” Mannion says.
“So, it is nice to have just games coming thick and fast now. We have a few big challenges in the group stages, for sure. It is the business end of the season now, I guess.”
On Sunday at Croke Park Dublin eventually overcame Louth in the Leinster SFC decider. Mannion highlighted Louth’s development in recent campaigns under former manager Mickey Harte and current boss, Ger Brennan. “It was a good game, they have improved over the last few years,” Mannion says.
“Starting off with Mickey, you could see that in the league last year, they had made huge strides. They've continued this year under Ger and Co. So, we knew they were going to be a tough opposition.

“Again, they put in a really strong league, they were probably unlucky not to get to a league final.
“In the championship last year, the scoreboard at the end didn't really reflect how strong they were. This year was a much closer reflection of where they are at.
"It was a really good challenge and it is nice to get that at this stage of the season.”
Mannion remains eager to accumulate further medals and memories with Dublin. “It isn't hard with some of the players we have in the team, the motivation and drive they have,” Mannion says about remaining firmly focused.
“You're in that competitive environment, there is no choice, but to bring your best at each training session and each game. So, the hunger is high, the motivation is high, I'm feeling good, and looking forward to a big All-Ireland series.”
