Electric Ireland Fitzgibbon Cup

Wednesday January 29

Group A

Mary I v UL, Mary I, 2pm

Topping the group and earning a semi-final spot is the objective for these Fitzgibbon rivals.

Mary I and UL have shown encouraging glimpses when defeating ATU Galway and SETU Waterford.

A place in the knockout stages has been secured, but maintaining momentum will be important for the respective camps.

Holders Mary I feature Adam Hogan and Shane O'Brien, while UL's panel includes Adam English and Gearoid O'Connor, who was effective for Tipperary against Galway on Sunday in the Allianz Hurling League.

Group B

University of Galway v UCD, Dangan, 7.45pm

MTU Cork v UCC, MTU Cork Campus, 8pm, Live on Higher Education GAA YouTube

MTU Cork and UCC have been hugely effective in the opening rounds of the 2025 Fitzgibbon.

Ciaran Joyce and Alan Connolly bring plenty of class to the MTU Cork panel.

A win over University of Galway was followed by an equally impressive triumph at Belfield against UCD.

UCC, always contenders, have been moving smoothly too with Ben Cunningham and Darragh Stakelum prominent.

Thursday January 30

Group C

Maynooth University v TUS Midwest, Maynooth University North Campus, 7pm

DCU Dóchas Eireann have already secured a place in the knockout stages, but who will join them from Group C?

Colm Fogarty and Cillian Hackett are influential figures for Maynooth, who need to secure a victory following last week's defeat against DCU Dóchas Eireann.

Paddy Donnellan's late point earned TUS Midwest a draw against DCU Dóchas Eireann, while Kyle Shelly is another accurate player in their ranks.
