It is knockout football in the Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup. That was already the case for four of the teams, who came through Round 2B ties.

Those who lost in Round 2A will be hoping to recover quickly.

Interesting matches are spread across Tuesday and Wednesday. St Mary's streamed clash with University of Galway promises to be lively.

University of Galway, with Cillian Ó Curraoin and Ryan O'Donoghue carrying a potent threat, will be aware of Mary's potential.

Fergal O'Brien's late score edged out ATU Sligo, but Mary's were subsequently defeated by TU Dublin, who also overcame University of Galway earlier in the competition.

Also on Tuesday, there will be no shortage of inter-county talent on display as Maynooth University host UCC.

Billy Morgan's outfit will be looking to Tipperary's Seánie O'Connor for scores inside.

Maynooth, beaten by UL last week, include the highly regarded Darragh Kirwan.

DCU Dóchas Éireann, managed by Paddy Christie, travel to Athlone for a match against TUS Midlands.

Mathew Costello and Conor Corbett have been prominent for DCU, who earned a crucial win against SETU Carlow to avoid relegation.

Jack Torpey, David Dempsey, and Cormac Delaney are key performers for TUS Midlands, who lost out to Queens.

Ulster University suffered a setback against UCD at Belfield, but they will be eager to summon an instant response against MTU Cork.

Conor Cush and the Canavan brothers were instrumental in Ulster University's first round triumph over UCC.

MTU Cork finished strongly to overcome ATU Donegal with David Buckley landing vital scores.
