Today, on ‘The Overlap’s Stick to Football Podcast’, Manchester United greats Roy Keane and Gary Neville, Arsenal icon Ian Wright and Lionesses legend Jill Scott were discussing the best live sporting events to attend around the world.

Events such as Formula 1 and Wimbledon were mentioned, but proud Corkonian Roy Keane, singled out the sport of Hurling and referred to the All-Ireland Hurling Final as being “a brilliant live sporting occasion”, that if given the chance, everyone should witness.

He and Gary Neville also referenced the time they met hurling and Gaelic football royalty in TJ Reid and Jimmy Barry Murphy whilst doing an episode for the ‘Overlap’ YouTube series in Croke Park last year. Neville described Reid as being “built like a tank” and was in awe of the skill required to be a hurler. This year's GAA Hurling All-Ireland SHC Final will see Roy's native county Cork take on Clare on July 21st, which will be broadcast live on RTÉ and BBC NI from 3:30pm.
