The draw for the 2022 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Quarter Finals took place this morning on RTÉ Radio 1’s Morning Ireland, with GAA President Larry McCarthy being joined by Fergal McGill.
In the eye-catching tie of the round Kerry take on Mayo. Last year’s beaten finalists will look to avenge their heavy defeat in this years Allianz League Division 1 final. Clare’s reward for accounting for a much-fancied Roscommon is a quarter final draw against Ulster Champions, Derry.
Armagh, fresh off their impressive victory over Donegal, will play Connacht Champions, Galway, while the draw was completed with Cork drawing Leinster Champions, Dublin.
The draw also gave us an insight into potential semi-finals as the winners of Kerry/Mayo will play Dublin or Cork and the winners of Galway/Armagh will play Derry or Clare.
The quarter finals will take place over the weekend of June 25/26, with the CCCC expected to have all details confirmed this afternoon
