The experienced Mayo star earned 7,845 votes votes on the GAA’s Official Twitter (@officialgaa), Facebook, and Instagram pages with colleague Jason Doherty second and Dublin's Jack McCaffrey third.

Colm Boyle continues to deliver defiant and dynamic displays for Mayo.
On Saturday Boyle was at his brilliant best for Mayo, driving forward from deep, while also making a string of crucial interceptions in defence.
In the closing minutes Boyle suffered an ankle injury, but his influence on the win over Kerry was hugely significant.
During the past month Jason Doherty has returned to prominence in the Mayo jersey.
The hard working forward is a key figure in the Mayo forward line.
Doherty contributed three points, including two vital late scores, against Kerry, while also carving a string of opportunities for his attacking colleagues.
Jack McCaffrey's ability to make driving runs from deep is critical for Dublin.
On Sunday McCaffrey repeatedly hurt Tyrone by bursting through which helped create several scoring chances for Dublin.
McCaffrey's return to inter-county action in 2017 has been a real boost for Jim Gavin's star studded team.
