Maurice Fitzgerald has been ratified as a selector for the Kerry senior football team.
The Kerry County Committee met on Monday evening with Fitzgerald now set to work alongside Eamonn Fitzmaurice, Padraig Corcoran, Mikey Sheehy, and Liam Hassett in 2017.
Fitzmaurice is delighted that Fitzgerald will be involved with the Kingdom. “I am delighted to welcome Maurice into the Kerry senior football setup. His football knowledge, work ethic and personality will be a huge asset to us."
An All Ireland winner in 1997 and 2000 Fitzgerald made his senior inter-county debut for Kerry in 1988. Fitzgerald guided St Mary's to All Ireland Intermediate glory in Croke Park last February.
