Armagh’s Rian O’Neill is the GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.
The powerful attacker received 6,079 votes from the public ahead of Tyrone’s Kieran McGeary (4,770), and Kildare’s Daniel Flynn (3,968)
Rian O’Neill (Armagh)
Armagh might have been beaten by Monaghan in the Ulster SFC semi-final, but O’Neill still managed to gild his growing reputation as one of the finest young footballers in the country. He kicked six points, got on a huge amount of ball, and used it wisely.
Kieran McGeary (Tyrone)
McGeary produced a really dynamic display for Tyrone in their Ulster semi-final win over Donegal. He scored three points from play and also helped nullify the attacking threat of Ryan McHugh.
Daniel Flynn (Kildare)
Daniel Flynn gave the Kildare attack an extremely potent focal point in their Leinster semi-final win over Westmeath. He scored 1-1 from play, and set up Jimmy Hyland for Kildare’s other goal.
