Antrim hurler, Ciarán Clarke, has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.
The Ballycastle man received 5,891 votes on the GAA's Instagram page, ahead of Cork's Darragh Fizgibbon (4,461), and Kilkenny's Martin Keoghan (2,796).
Ciarán Clarke (Antrim)
Saffrons sharp-shooter Ciarán Clarke had his sights very much zeroed in as Antrim pulled off a stunning victory over Clare at Corrigan Park. He finished with a personal tally of 1-11, 1-1 of it from play, and impressed too with his all-round play.
Darragh Fitzgibbon (Cork)
Darragh Fitzgibbon was at the heart of much of Cork’s free-flowing play as they hit Waterford for five goals on Sunday. The midfield dynamo constantly drove his team forward with his surging runs, scored three points from play, and created many other scoring opportunities for his team-mates.
Martin Keoghan (Kilkenny)
“He’s one of those great, honest players,” said Kilkenny manager, Brian Cody, of Martin Keoghan after Kilkenny’s win over Dublin on Saturday. High praise, and Keoghan deserved it after a match-winning performance for the Cats that saw him score 1-4 from play.
