The experienced forward received 2,855 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Tipperary’s Jake Morris (2,470) and Kilkenny’s Billy Drennan (2,016).
Conor Cooney (Galway)
Conor Cooney has been one of the most consistent forwards in the game for some time now and he showed his class remains undiminished in Galway’s victory over Clare, scoring five points from play and using possession very creatively.
Jake Morris (Tipperary)
Tipperary attacker Jake Morris is a clinical goal-getter at he was at it again for the Premier County in their Division 1 victory over Waterford on Saturday, scoring a hat-trick of really fine finishes.
Billy Drennan (Kilkenny)
Drennan has excelled for the Cats in this debut League campaign and was outstanding again in their win over Dublin. The livewire corner-forward scored 13 points, five of them from play.
