GAA.ie Hurler of the Week

1: Patrick Horgan (Cork) – 1659 (37 per cent)

2: Pauric Mahony (Waterford) – 1518 (34 per cent)

3: David Burke (Galway) – 1334 (29 per cent)

A late addition to the Cork team for Sunday's clash with Tipperary at Pairc Ui Rinn, Patrick Horgan was immense from start to finish.

Horgan ended the match with a staggering 0-15 haul, including the decisive score which earned Cork a Quarter-Final berth.

Glen Rovers attacker Horgan registered four points from play for a developing Cork outfit Leeside.

Waterford produced a great battling display to carve out a valuable victory against Clare at Cusack Park.

The Bennett brothers were both prominent for Waterford, but **Pauric Mahony's **0-10 haul was most instrumental in the win.

During a high scoring encounter Mahony kept Waterford in the hunt before Tom Devine landed a last gasp goal to secure the spoils.

David Burke struck six points from play as Galway defeated Limerick to finish in second place in Division 1B. The St Thomas' star was influential for the Tribesmen, who enjoyed a productive burst after half-time.

Burke has been a key player for Galway in recent campaigns and will hope to maintain his excellent form in next weekend's Quarter-Final against Waterford.
