ELECTRIC IRELAND MUNSTER MINOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Limerick 2-11 Clare 1-8

Cork 0-17 Waterford 1-10

Two late Limerick goals at the Gaelic Grounds sealed a satisfying Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Championship success over Clare.

Substitutes Josh Ryan and Cian Magner Flynn pounced in the closing stages as a promising Limerick outfit finished strongly.

Ian Murray registered an early goal for Clare, who started brightly, but the teams departed level at the break, 0-7 to 1-4.

At Walsh Park a lively Cork side, inspired by Evan Sheehan, produced a fine second half display to eventually defeat Waterford by four points.

Trailing 1-6 to 0-8 at the interval Cork restricted Waterford after the restart to emerge deserving winners.

Waterford now face Tipperary at home in the play/off round with Clare’s next fixture against the loser of that tie.
