Kilkenny produced a brilliant second half display to reclaim the Allianz Hurling League title at Nowlan Park on Sunday.

This week's nominees for Hurler of the Week are Cillian Buckley (Kilkenny), Paddy Deegan (Kilkenny), and TJ Reid (Kilkenny).

Cillian Buckley (Kilkenny)

A towering performance from Kilkenny captain Cillian Buckley, who bolted the defensive door shut, especially in the second period when Tipperary needed to respond.

Buckley held the centre well throughout and ensured the influence of Tipperary's half forward line was severely restricted in the third quarter.

Paddy Deegan (Kilkenny)

O'Loughlin Gaels clubman Paddy Deegan was immense throughout for Kilkenny at Nowlan Park on Sunday afternoon.

Deegan repeatedly made solid interceptions as the Tipperary forwards were left frustrated by a typically hard working Kilkenny rearguard action.

TJ Reid (Kilkenny)

TJ Reid has delivered in some style this spring for Kilkenny and the Ballyhale Shamrocks forward struck 0-15 for the Cats, including three from play and one sweet sideline cut.

Reid's skill and style decorated a dynamic display from Kilkenny, who have responded impressively following two early Allianz Hurling League Division 1A losses.
