Silvermines clubman Jason Forde is enjoying a productive stint in the blue and gold alongside UL colleague John McGrath.
On Saturday evening Forde was in prolific form at Semple Stadium contributing 2-9 including two opportunistic goals. With Seamus Callanan injured Forde is delivering in a new inside role for Michael Ryan's team.
In a game Kilkenny needed to win at Walsh Park Martin Keoghan supplied scores and a bit of class in attack for Brian Cody's team.
Keoghan, who hurled with the Kilkenny Intermediate team in 2017, notched five points from play and was a key figure for the striped team.
Clare wing backs Seadna Morey and Mikey O'Malley contributed excellent performances in Sunday's third straight win over Cork at Cusack Park.
Sixmilebridge clubman Morey is a nifty operator and mined two sweet points from distance for Donal Maloney and Gerry O'Connor's charges.
