The Tyrone County Board, GAA Management Committee, last night appointed Michael McShane as senior hurling team ‘bainisteoir’ on a three-year term. McShane recently guided Sleacht Néill to three out of the last four Ulster Senior Club Hurling titles.
The county board thanked outgoing manager Matty Lennon for his ‘dedication and hard work’ over the past 6 years.
Is a statement on the Tyrone GAA website regarding the appointment of Michael McShane to the role, Tyrone County Chairperson, Michael Kerr, said: ‘We are very pleased to have one of Ulster’s top hurling managers taking over the reigns of our Tyrone Senior Hurlers and we wish him all the best’.
