Dublin SHC Final

Cuala v Kilmacud Crokes, Parnell Park, 3.30pm

Seeking a third Dublin title on the spin, All Ireland champions Cuala are braced for a tough test against Kilmacud Crokes.

A late Cuala flurry ensured they prevailed by 1-15 to 0-15 against the same opposition in last year's decider.

It promises to be similarly tight at the Donnycarney venue on Saturday.

Ross O'Carroll's late goal was the critical score when Crokes defeated Lucan Sarsfields at the penultimate stage.

Cian MacGabhann and Oisin O'Rorke stroked over frees for Crokes, while O'Carroll was an influential figure.

Cuala comprehensively defeated St Vincent's with David Treacy accumulating 11 points, while Colm Cronin and Con O'Callaghan were also efficient in attack.

Munster SHC Quarter-Final

Ballygunner (Waterford) v Thurles Sarsfields (Tipperary), Walsh Park, 2pm

Excellent in Waterford and Tipperary in recent campaigns these two clubs both feel that they should have delivered more outside of their respective County Championships.

That is why so much intrigue and interest surrounds this clash. Thurles Sarsfields, prompted by the Maher brothers, have won seven Tipperary crowns since 2009, but only one provincial victory has followed.

Ballygunner, who recently completed a four-in-a-row in Waterford, haven't triumphed in Munster since 2001.

With Pauric Mahony nailing nine points, Ballygunner shrugged off De La Salle's spirited resistance, while Conor Power bagged a brace of goals.

Sarsfields had too much craft for Borris-Ileigh in Tipperary and will be looking to Aidan McCormack, Conor Stakelum, and Billy McCarthy for inspiration once more.

Kilkenny SHC Final

Dicksboro v James Stephens, Nowlan Park, 3.30pm

A decent crowd is expected at Nowlan Park for this clash.

James Stephens' last Kilkenny title was in 2011, while Dicksboro have suffered two final defeats since winning in 1993.

In the intervening years Dicksboro have invested hugely in producing solid and successful underage teams. Those players are now beginning to emerge on the senior stage to supplement quality performers like Cillian Buckley and Ollie Walsh.

The Village beat a star studded Ballyhale Shamrocks in the semi-final with Tadhg Dwyer and former Kilkenny star Eoin Larkin planting goals.

Mikey Drennan has impressed in attack too for James Stephens, who also include Jackie Tyrrell.
