Since 2009 Middletown have collected seven Armagh titles, but they know a tough task awaits against seven in a row Derry winners Slaughtneil.
In 2016 and 2017 Slaughtneil added provincial titles so they are well versed in how to operate at this level.
Slaughtneil's 1-23 to 2-12 success over Kevin Lynch's, Dungiven was a reminder of their class.
Brendan Rogers' opportunistic goal sealed a satisfying win for Slaughtneil.
Dunloy (Antrim) v Ballycran (Down), 2.30pm
Beaten in the Ulster decider last year, Ballycran will be hoping to take Dunloy's scalp on Sunday.
Dunloy have introduced several new players in recent years and their return to the Antrim summit offers encouragement.
Now, though, the challenge is to produce in Ulster with Sean Elliott's goals decorating a fine win over Ruairi Og, Cushendall.

Ballyhale Shamrocks followed the 2018 Kilkenny SHC Final title by adding further silverware on the Leinster and national stages.
It was a campaign that offered so much positivity with Adrian Mullen's emergence supplying another potent attacker alongside the gifted TJ Reid.
Stars are dotted throughout the Shamrocks team, but they will treat the James Stephens challenge with the utmost respect.
Seamus 'Cheddar' Plunkett supplies a wealth of coaching experience for The Village, who haven't tasted Kilkenny glory since 2011.
London SHC Final
Robert Emmetts v St Gabriels, McGovern Park, 2pm
Robert Emmetts and St Gabriels contest a fourth London decider in five years.
Emmetts prevailed in 2015 and 2016, while Gabriels won 2-17 to 2-11 at McGovern Park in 2018.
St Martin's won the Wexford SHC title in 2017.
Wexford SHC Final
St Annes v St Martin's, Innovate Wexford Park
St Martin's are viewed as the heavy favourites entering Sunday's Wexford decider.
It has been a dramatic campaign for St Anne's, who have responded impressively following a couple of early setbacks in 2019.
Now St Anne's are back in a county final for the first time since 2014 folowing a brilliant win over Rapparees.
Mark Furlong and Aidan Rochford struck goals for St Anne's, who also feature Diarmuid O'Keeffe, Liam Og McGovern, and former Wexford player Redmond Barry.
St Martin's panel is stocked with able performers such as Daithi Waters, Jack O'Connor, Ciaran Lyng, and Rory O'Connor.
