Stephen Bennett is this week's GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

Waterford’s Stephen Bennett is the GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The deadly-accurate forward received 4,631 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Wexford’s Rory O’Connor and Cha O’Dwyer of Laois.

Stephen Bennett (Waterford)

Stephen Bennett was the main man for Waterford in their impressive win over Tipperary, posting a huge personal tally of 1-16, 1-4 of which came from play. His free-taking was metronomically accurate and he was hugely influential in open play.

Rory O’Connor (Wexford)

O’Connor was the best player on the pitch in Wexford’s hard-fought win over Offaly. He scored a vital goal, two really classy points from play, and converted nine frees to continue his excellent form so far this year.

Cha Dwyer (Laois)

Cha Dwyer was the hero for Laois as his spectacular over the shoulder point in injury-time time secured a victory over Antrim that ensures the Midlanders will stay in Division 1 of the Allianz League next year. The electric Dwyer finished with a personal tally of four points from play after a hugely impressive performance.
