Limerick earned an encouraging win over neighbours Clare at the Gaelic Grounds.
A solid second half display was enough for Limerick, who prevailed in front of 3,209 spectators.
Aaron Gillane was prominent for Limerick registering eight points, including three from play, while Tom Morrissey was also effective drilling four scores.
Limerick led by 0-8 to 0-6 at half-time and John Kiely's team frustrated Clare after the restart.
Clare, who had Jack Browne sent off, only managed to score a further four points in the second period as Limerick eked out a deserved victory.

Wexford finished with a real flourish at Parnell Park to set up a Bord Na Mona Walsh Cup Final against Kilkenny.
Davy Fitzgerald's charges trailed by 0-15 to 0-10 in the 47th minute, but Dublin only managed to add one more score in during the remainder of the contest following Paul Winters' sending off for a second yellow card.
In that stint Wexford struck 1-10 with Cathal Dunbar bagging a crucial goal.
David Dunne, Paul Morris, Jack Guiney, and Kevin Foley all landed important points late on for Wexford.
