The GAA Museum's Book Club choice for July is The Players’ Advice by Seán O’Sullivan.

The GAA Museum is delighted to announce that our Book Club choice for March is The Players’ Advice by Seán O’Sullivan. Seán will chat with us later in the month about his unique book where over 100 football, hurling and camogie stars offer invaluable advice and insights into Gaelic Games.

Players including Noel McGrath, Aaron Kernan, Vikki Wall, Mary O’Connor, Kieran Donaghy, Aidan O’Mahony and Ken McGrath discuss everything from nutrition to gaining confidence, preparation and matchday mindset in this useful and engaging publication.

The book also includes forewords from Marty Morrissey and Mick Bohan and gives a glimpse into the huge number of areas GAA players must consider when competing at the highest level.

Author Seán O’Sullivan is GAA coach and has been involved with his local Dublin club Na Fianna since he was six. He is currently studying for a BSc in Education and Training at DCU. His passion for the GAA drove him to follow his dream and bring this idea for a book to life. In doing so, he became one of the youngest authors ever published by O’Brien Press.

Those wishing to get involved with the GAA Museum Book Club can sign up for free at www.crokepark.ie/bookclub. Each month the GAA Museum team will choose a well-known GAA book to read and review and at the end of the month, the museum team will interview the author and release the video to all members. Book club members can also submit questions for the author by emailing bookclub@crokepark.ie.

If you don’t have or can’t borrow a copy of The Players’ Advice, the GAA Museum gift shop will have copies in stock over the next few days. They will retail at a 20% discount throughout February. Visit the shop at https://crokepark.ie/shop/shop-home.
