100 clubs prepare for the 2025 Táin Óg and CúChulainn competitions

This weekend the 2025 Táin Óg and CúChulainn season begins with the U16 competitions starting the competitions for this year. 65 clubs are taking part in the U16 competitions with teams from 15 counties involved.

Throughout the whole Táin Óg and Cúchulainn season there will be 100 teams taking part with an increased schedule of games for Connacht and Longford clubs as part of the new Connacht Hurling Action Plan.

In 2024, 90 clubs took part in the competitions with 400 games completed with games in a mix of formats to suit the needs of the clubs involved. As part of completing their schedule of games in 2024, 68 clubs were rewarded with €40,000 worth of helmets and sliotars in recent weeks to support the ongoing development of their clubs.

  • U16 Finals- Sunday 18th May
  • U14 Finals- Sunday 8th June
  • U18 Finals- Saturday 5th July
  • CúChulainn Finals- Sunday 2nd August
