Meetings of An Coiste Bainistíochta and Ard Chomhairle took place last night and today respectively and the following decisions were taken:

  • The Bye Laws of the 32 counties in Ireland were approved
  • Amendments to the World GAA Constitution were approved
  • Permission was granted for Derry City to use Owenbeg on a temporary basis for training while its own facilities are being developed
  • The Rules Drafting Report arising from Comhdháil Speisialta was approved (an updated Official Guide (Part 2) will be circulated next week
  • Motions from the Rules Advisory Committee were approved for consideration by Congress
  • The 2025 Scór Rule Book was approved
  • Guidelines on Head High Tackles were issued
  • The Hurley Dimensions Policy was updated to (adult hurley 37”)
  • The Go Games Policy was updated
  • A player from Seán MacCumhaill, Dún na nGall was Reinstated with effect from 09.05.2025
  • The Clock/Hooter Regulations were approved
  • Guidelines on vanishing foam & Referee changing a decision were issued
  • Peter Canavan and Maurice Deegan were appointed to the Football Review Committee
  • Humphrey Kelleher was appointed to the Hurling Development Committee
  • The All-Ireland Junior Football Quarter Final between New York and USGAA will take place in Gaelic Park, New York in June 2025 and will be played on a rotational basis for future years in held in the US
