The Football Review Committee met last night(Friday 28th February) to review and discuss the impact of the new rule enhancements and the accompanying data from the first four rounds of the2025 Allianz Football Leagues.
The Committee is also assessing recentfeedback received from inter-county and club managers via an on-line survey sent to their respective County Secretaries.
On-line survey responses are also being assessed from the National Referees’ Panel, after the FRCattended the referees’ meeting last Thursday.
The review process will continue early next week when the FRC reconvenes and factors in the findings from round five of the competition.
At that juncture the committee will present its findings and any recommendations to the Standing Committee on Playing Rules who will in turn liaise with both Coiste Bainistíochta and Ard Chomhairlewho are seheduled to meet on Thursday 13th Marchto determine the future implementation of the enhancements before the commencement of the football championship.
The FRC would like to express its gratitude to all parties involved in the process so far, not least the players, managers and referees involved in the games played up to this point but also the members and supporters who have provided important feedback as an intrinsic part of the overall process.
