This week's Hurler of the Week nominees are Rob Downey of Cork, Mark Fitzgerald of Waterford, and Brian Duignan of Offaly.

Waterford’s Mark Fitzgerald, Offaly’s Brian Duignan, and Cork’s Rob Downey are this week’s GAA.ie Hurler of the Week nominees.

The voting process is simple: like their image on the GAA's official Instagram page.

Voting will close at 10am on Tuesday, April 8, and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.

Mark Fitzgerald – Waterford

The Waterford wing-back drove his team forward time and again in the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B Final. He defended tenaciously, scored three points from play, and created a goal for Patrick Curran.

Brian Duignan – Offaly

Waterford’s defence struggled to contain Offaly target-man, Brian Duignan, in the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B Final. He won a huge amount of ball and scored five points from play.

Rob Downey – Cork

Rob Downey was a colossus for Cork in their Allianz Hurling League Division 1A Final win over Tipperary. He completely locked down the centre of their defence and was also the launch-pad for many of their attacks.

Players of the Week are decided based on votes cast by followers of the Official GAA Instagram page.
