Ahead of another busy weekend of Allianz Hurling League action, the GAA reminds members and supporters about how to access tickets in advance of all fixtures.

The Association would like to reiterate that the GAA does not have an ‘online-only’ or ‘cashless ticketing’ policy.

Match tickets are available to purchase through gaa.ie, ticketmaster.ie and from almost 350 Centra/SuperValu stores across the island.

Cash is accepted in these stores, 27 of which are located within a 1.5 mile radius of our county stadia. Adult, juvenile, student and senior citizen tickets are available via these channels.

Our traditional County Board and club networks continue to provide a channel for our supporters and members alike to purchase tickets meaning tickets can be accessed through almost 2,000 outlets across the Country.

Online tickets have been available for Allianz League games for approximately 15 years and the GAA stopped taking cash at turnstiles over a decade ago.

The GAA has invested heavily in the retail network and Centra/Supervalu stores nationwide, to ensure that those who may have difficulty with on-line technology are catered for and to accommodate all groups. 30 more stores will be added to this network before year end.

All league games are currently on sale, so in one transaction in a store, using cash, tickets can be purchased for all games taking place until the end of the month.

With the exception of All-Ireland finals and matches sold out in advance, these arrangements will be in operation for all inter-county games in 2023.

These arrangements have been communicated via our County PROs and feature in all of our national media campaigns.

Our host venues have also been asked to assist any patrons encountering difficulties on match days and a review of well attended games recently has shown those numbers to be extremely small. A special word of acknowledgement is due to our volunteers who play a crucial role in the staging of games.

As an organisation we review our match day operations on an on-going basis – including access and the distribution of tickets – and we strive to make our games as accessible as possible for everyone.

To this end we have been heartened by the strong support which has been evident at matches across the Allianz Leagues this year.
