The London hurler received 1,589 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Derry's Christy McNaughton (1,191) and Cavan's Seán Keating (1,092).

Derry edged out Donegal in the Christy Ring Cup at the weekend with Christy McNaughton an influential figure. McNaughton finished with a 1-9 haul as Derry prevailed.
Seán Keating (Cavan)
Seán Keating struck 2-5 in Cavan's comprehensive Lory Meagher Cup win over Warwickshire. Keating was a potent attacking threat throughout for Cavan.
Paul Kennedy (London)
London enjoyed a hugely encouraging Christy Ring Cup win over Meath in Trim on Saturday. Paul Kennedy produced a dynamic display, scoring two goals for Neil Rogers' rapidly improving outfit.
