Soundly beaten in Belfast by a pumped up Antrim, Laois will be intent on responding when neighbours Carlow visit Portlaoise.
There has been plenty to admire about Carlow's spirited performances in the competition so far, even if Dublin were too slick for them at Parnell Park.
Nonetheless, Carlow's displays have been gutsy with Chris Nolan providing a potent attacking threat in attack.
Retaining Division 1B status is Laois' objective so this match matters deeply for Tommy Fitzgerald's outfit.

Meath v Down, Trim, 1.30pm
Down have already accomplished one mission by securing promotion, but they will want to maintain their good form.
Ronan Sheehan's sheer hard work is being reflected by a group of committed and talented hurlers, who have flourished on this stage.
Meath will believe that progress can be made with manager Johnny Greville, a shrewd figure, who will know the importance of this fixture.
Four counties, including Meath, have won two matches in this competitive division so the Royals will relish the impending challenge in Trim.
