Holders Mary I finished with a real flourish to defeat ATU Galway 0-22 to 2-14 at Liam Mellows GAA club.

Trailing 1-14 to 0-14 following a Nathan Earner goal for ATU Galway in the 40th minute, Mary I responded impressively.

Conor Hennessy, Shane O'Brien, and substitute Jamie Ryan landed vital points for Mary I.

Darren Shaughnessy struck a second ATU Galway goal in the closing stages, but a determined Mary I outfit prevailed.

Jack Leahy (2) and Adam English were UL's goalscorers against SETU Waterford in a 3-24 to 1-17 victory.

Reuben Halloran was effective for SETU Waterford, but UL pulled clear in the closing stages.

Brian Keating and Ben Cunningham starred in UCC's 0-29 to 1-20 triumph over UCD at the Mardyke.

UCD led 0-13 to 0-12 at the interval, but UCC enjoyed a productive spell to move six points clear in the second period.

Luke Connellan netted a goal for UCD, but UCC earned the spoils.
