The GAA is marking World Mental Health Day (October 10th) with a special suicide awareness webinar this evening (19.30-20.15) in collaboration with Pieta, and a small number of places are still available.

The ‘Signs of Suicide’ awareness training will be delivered by one of Pieta’s experienced team, psychotherapist Rionach Campbell. The presentation introduces attendees to Pieta and the work that they do around suicide and self-harm prevention in Ireland. It also covers information such as the risk factors and myths/facts. Pieta offer attendees practical tips as to how to spot the warning signs and make an initial intervention should they think that a family member/friend/colleague may be struggling with suicidal thoughts or self-harm, with a view to encouraging that person to seek professional help. The 40-minute session finishes off with some information about maintaining our own health and wellbeing through self-care and stress management. You can learn more about what the training will cover by clicking here.

The last places on this evening’s webinar will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If the registration link is no longer accepting places, capacity has already been reached. Register here: https://forms.office.com/e/BUF0f42Z9i
