Defending Munster Football Champions, Tipperary, have been handed a tough draw for the 2021 provincial campaign.

They've been given a bye to the semi-final where they will meet the winners of a quarter-final tussle between Kerry and Clare.

Waterford and Limerick will contest the other quarter-final with the winner advancing to play Cork in the other Munster semi-final.

The draw took place live this morning on RTE Radio 1's Morning Ireland show, and immediately after it former Kerry star Tomás Ó Sé suggested all the pressure will be on his native county after they were surprisingly beaten in last year's Munster semi-final by Cork.

"It's great to have a draw that that we're actually going to see in a few weeks time, we're normally waiting seven or eight months before we see these matches," said Ó Sé

"Last year we were all thinking, with the open draw that it was a championship made for Kerry, but it was one of the better championships last year in the way that Cork beat Kerry and deserved it and then Tipperary came along after a whopdinger against Limerick which went to extra-time and beat Cork in the Munster Final. It was a great championship to watch last year, it was great excitement.

"I think the pressure will be on Kerry this year to perform. A lot of pressure came on Kerry after their performance against Cork last year so all eyes will be on Kerry. Clare must be thinking what they have to do to avoid Kerry in the Munster Championship. Colm Collins' men always seem to get Kerry in the draw.

"Cork have the easier side of the draw, but (Limerick manager) Billy Lee would definitely love a cut off Cork if they get over Waterford because of what Tipperary achieved last year.

"Look, it's an interesting draw, it does point to a Kerry-Cork Final in Killarney and it's as good as a draw as you could have hoped for in terms of the challenges that lay ahead. I think all eyes will be on Kerry and the pressure will be on Kerry to deliver. Whether they can or not, time will tell."
