The promising Donegal football received 3, 901 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Meath's Shane Walsh (3, 027) and Roscommon's Niall Daly (2, 168)

Caolan McColgan, who struck three points from play, announced his arrival on the inter-county stage with a hugely impressive, all action display as Donegal defeated Kerry in Ballybofey.

Shane Walsh (Meath)

Meath made a satisfying Allianz Football League Division Two start against Cork in a high scoring match at Páirc Uí Chaoimh with the excellent Shane Walsh contributing 1-7.

Niall Daly (Roscommon)

The experienced Niall Daly thundered forward to kick three splendid points for Roscommon in a stirring Allianz Football League Division One win over Tyrone at Dr Hyde Park.
