Mayo’s Colm Reape has been voted GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.
The talented goalkeeper received 4,310 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Sligo’s Niall Murphy (2,152), and Dublin’s John Small (2,016).
Colm Reape (Mayo)
Mayo goalkeeper Reape was his team’s main man in their hard-fought Allianz Football League Division 1 Final victory over Galway. He made four big saves and also kicked three points from placed balls, two from frees and a ’45.
Niall Murphy (Sligo)
Murphy’s attacking class made the vital difference in Sligo’s Allianz Football league Division 4 Final victory over Wicklow. His first-half goal brought Sligo back into the match after a slow start, and he finished the game with a personal tally of 1-4.
John Small (Dublin)
More renowned for his defensive solidity, John Small showed in Dublin’s Allianz Football League Division 2 Final win over Derry that he can also make a big offensive contribution. He scored 1-1 from play, and carried the ball strongly time and again.
