Conor McCarthy has been voted GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

The Monaghan attacker recieved 3,615 public votes ahead of Dublin's Con O'Callaghan (3,185) and Derry's Shane McGuigan (2,150)

Conor McCarthy (Monaghan)

Hat-tricks are very rare at the highest level of Gaelic Football but Conor McCarthy needed just 21 minutes to bag his as he hit a shell-shocked Donegal defence for three goals in the first half of Saturday’s Allianz Football League Division 1 clash at MacCumhaill Park.

Con O’Callaghan (Dublin)

Dublin attacker Con O’Callaghan terrorised the Kerry defence in Sunday’s entertaining Allianz Football League Division one draw. He scored 2-1 from play, assisted a third goal, and won the penalty for Dublin’s fourth goal.

Shane McGuigan (Derry)

Shane McGuigan has been in fine form so far this year and produced another quality display in Derry’s convincing Allianz Football League Division 3 victory over Fermanagh. He finished with a personal tally of 2-5, with all of it from play apart from a well struck penalty.
