Dublin GAA has confirmed that Jim Gavin will remain in charge of the senior football team in the capital until the end of the 2021 All Ireland Championship.

Round Towers clubman Gavin has steered Dublin to All Ireland glory five times in the last six years.

Gavin has enjoyed a productive stint since commencing the role in 2013. During his tenure Dublin have hoisted the Sam Maguire Cup on five occasions, while also winning six Leinster Championships, and five Allianz Football League crowns.

Sean Shanley, Dublin GAA Chairman, is delighted that Gavin has agreed to continue as manager. "Jim has contributed so much time and hard work on a voluntary basis to the Dublin team and I thank him and his backroom team for their continued efforts and dedication."
