Sunday January 7
Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup
Antrim v Cavan, Glenavy, 2pm
Tyrone v St Mary's, Coalisland, 2pm
Armagh v Derry, Athletic Grounds, 2pm
Down v Ulster University, Burren, 2pm
Fermanagh v Queens, Brewster Park, 2pm
Monaghan v Donegal, Clones, 2pm
A youthful Cavan outfit, inspired by Niall McKiernan, eventually shrugged off St Mary's spirited resistance on Wednesday.
Mattie McGleenan's charges now face Antrim, who were well beaten by Tyrone in a goal laden affair.
Tyrone, who have won the last six Dr McKenna Cups, were always in control against Antrim with Padraig McNulty, Frank Burns, Niall Sludden, and Connor McAliskey bagging goals.
Burns notched 1-4 in that triumph, while Darren McCurry was also prominent for Mickey Harte's charges.
Armagh's clash with Derry at the Gaelic Grounds should be interesting following their respective opening round triumphs.
New Derry manager Damian McErlain's panel is a nice blend of youth and experience and they survived a tough test against Ulster University.
Armagh enjoyed an encouraging victory over Down as Andrew Murnin and Ronan Lappin netted opportunistic goals.
Down will be hoping for an improved display against University Ulster, who were plucky when losing to Derry.
Boosted by a win over Monaghan, Rory Gallagher's Fermanagh host Queens at Brewster Park, while Monaghan's tussle with Donegal should be interesting in Clones.
St Vincent's Nathan Mullins was an influential figure for Donegal in their game against Queens.
With injuries ruling key players out for the early rounds of the Allianz Football League, Donegal boss Declan Bonner will continue to monitor the form of some emerging talent in his panel.
Bord Na Mona O'Byrne Cup
Wexford v Dublin, Enniscorthy,2pm
Longford v Kildare, Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, 2pm
Meath v Wicklow, Navan, 2pm
Laois v Westmeath, Stradbally, 2pm
Offaly's spirited revival at Parnell Park on Wednesday evening against an experimental Dublin carries significance on Sunday in Enniscorthy.
Dublin, managed by Paul Clarke for the O'Byrne Cup, must beat the locals by more than the 3-16 to 0-9 Offaly overcame Wexford by, to advance to the knockout stages of the competition.
Colm Basquel did pinch 1-6 in the Offaly encounter, while Shane Carthy also impressed for Dublin.
An inexperienced Wexford suffered a heavy loss to Offaly and will be keen to produce a much improved performance.
Meath shaded a tight contest with Carlow on Wednesday so another positive result for the Royals when Wicklow visit Navan will be enough to steer them into the next stage.
Andy McEntee's outfit finished strongly at Netwatch Cullen Park registering the last three points to secure the spoils.
Westmeath, now under Colin Kelly's stewardship, held on despite a late Laois rally last Saturday.
The teams clash again with the aggregate winner reaching the semi-finals.
Connacht FBD League
Mayo v Galway, Elverys MacHale Park, 2pm
Leitrim v Sligo, Ballinamore, 2pm
David Clarke and Andy Moran are the only two players who started last year's All Ireland Final that will be available for Mayo on Sunday.
With the Mayo panel currently on holiday in Malaysia manager Stephen Rochford is expected to include a raft of the Green and Red's 2016 All Ireland Under 21 winning team.
Seamus Cunniffe, Michael Hall, Michael Plnkett, Sharoize Akram, Matthew Ruane, Brian Reape, and James Carr could all feature.
There was a youthful cut Galway in Wednesday's opening win over Sligo at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence.
The returning Patrick Sweeney and Adrian Varley both impressed in Galway's full forward line.
In Ballinamore Leitrim and Sligo will be anxious to respond following midweek losses.
McGrath Cup
Waterford v Cork, Ballinacourty, 2pm
New Cork manager Ronan McCarthy has named an experimental team for Sunday's trip to Ballinacourty.
Ian Maguire, Sean Powter, Mark Collins, and Colm O'Neill are included and will be hoping to guide Cork into a decider against Clare.
An understrength Waterford lost by 2-18 to 1-9 against Clare with Jason Curry contributing seven points.
