Kerry footballer, Sean O'Shea, is this week's GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

Kerry star Sean O’Shea is this week’s GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

He received 6,057 votes from the public ahead of Donegal’s Ryan McHugh (3,367), and Mayo’s Darren McHale (2,695)

Sean O’Shea (Kerry)

The Kerry centre-forward put on an attacking master-class in the Kingdom’s Munster SFC quarter-final victory over Clare. He scored 1-7, all but three points of it from play, and was hugely influential too as a link-man.

Ryan McHugh (Donegal)

Ryan McHugh was the engine that drove Donegal to victory over Down in the Preliminary Round of the Ulster SFC on Sunday. He scored four points from play and his surging runs from defence and clever distribution caught the eye too.

Darren McHale (Mayo)

Darren McHale made a hugely positive impression for Mayo in their high-scoring Connacht SFC Quarter-Final victory over Sligo. It was hard to believe he was making his first Championship start because he excelled throughout the game and finished with a personal tally of 1-5 from play.
