Shane McGuigan has been voted GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.

The prolific Derry forward received 6,092 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Dublin's Seán Bugler (2,024) and Offaly's Cian Farrell (1,786).

Shane McGuigan (Derry)

In a tight and tense Ulster SFC Final at St Tiernach's Park, Shane McGuigan's brilliance was evident. McGuigan contributed 0-7 and also converted a penalty in the shootout.

Seán Bugler (Dublin)

The in-form Seán Bugler was outstanding in Dublin's emphatic Leinster SFC Final win over Louth at Croke Park. The industrious Bugler scored 1-3 during an excellent display.

Cian Farrell (Offaly)

Cian Farrell struck 2-4 as Offaly made a winning start in the Tailteann Cup against London at Glenisk O'Connor Park. Farrell was prominent throughout for the Faithful County.
