Omagh St Enda's clubman McMahon made his debut for Tyrone in 2007 and won five Ulster titles during his career.
In 2008 McMahon was a key part of Tyrone's All Ireland triumph - a campaign in which he also earned an All Star award.
During his Tyrone career McMahon made 110 appearances including 40 in the Championship.
