The Waterford U-21 hurlers won the county's second ever All-Ireland in the grade and first since 1992 when they beat Galway in Saturday's Bord Gáis Energy Final.
It was a consummate team performance, but the outstanding individual displays of Patrick Curran and Stephen Bennett see them make the shortlist for this week's GAA.ie Hurler of the Week award.
They're joined there by Galway's Brian Molloy who was his team's outstanding player.
The voting process is simple: retweet the image of your chosen player on the GAA's official Twitter account (@officialgaa) or like their image on the GAA's official Facebook and Instagram pages. Voting will close at 1pm on Tuesday, September 13 and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.
Hurler of the Week nominations
Patrick Curran - Waterford
Curran reminded us just how classy an operator he is in Saturday's Bord Gáis All-Ireland U-21 Final as he top-scored with 1-9, 1-6 of which came from play.
He cleverly improvised for his goal as he batted the ball past Galway goalkeeper Cathal Tuohy so he wouldn't be hooked by a Galway defender.
He scored an array of spectacular point, but the greatest moment of skill he produced was the delicious reverse hand-pass that set up Stephen Bennett's first goal.
Brian Molloy - Galway
Galway captain Molloy was marked by the brilliant Austin Gleeson, but it says a lot about him that he came out on top in their individual duel even though Galway were well beaten.
He was the one Galway player who really carried the fight to Waterford in the first half especailly as Gleeson found it hard to track his clever running.
The Galway centre-forward score three classy points from play and is surely a senior star in the making on the basis of this performance.
Stephen Bennett - Waterford
Stephen Bennett is that rarest of things - a natural goal-scorer. He showcased that talent again on Saturday by smashing two goals to the back of the net.
The second one will surely make any short-list for goal of the year. When he rose high to catch an Austin Gleeson sideline it didn't look like a goal-chance was on, but in one fluid movement he swiveled and fired the ball to the roof of the net from an impossible angle.
He also produced a moment of magic in the second-half when he set up his brother Shane's goal with a brilliant pass across the face of the Galway goalmouth.
