James Maher (Kilkenny)

A serious injury disturbed James Maher's progress, but the promising Kilkenny hurler was prominent during Sunday's Leinster Championship win over Dublin at Parnell Park.

Maher rifled over two important points for Brian Cody's charges, who finished with a real flourish to defeat Dublin at the Donnycarney venue.

Aonghus Clarke (Westmeath)

Aonghus Clarke clipped seven points for Westmeath, who claimed a second Joe McDonagh Cup victory over neighbours Meath at TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar.

Clarke is an established figure in Michael Ryan's Westmeath outfit, who will be keen to build on their satisfying start in the competition.

Joseph Cooney (Galway)

Joseph Cooney grabbed 1-4 during a dynamic first half contribution for Galway against Offaly at Bord Na Mona O'Connor Park on Saturday evening.

The Sarsfields clubman made a huge impact, especially early on, for Micheal Donoghue's charges, who took the full complement of spoils in Tullamore.
