The Central Competitions Control Committee today endorsed a new structure for the 2025 Allianz Hurling League that will see seven teams compete in Division 1A.
Currently Division 1 is comprised of two groups of six, and the 2024 League will determine which teams compete in the newly structured Division 1A in 2025.
The top three from each group will qualify for Division 1A in 2025 along with the winners of a play-off between the two fourth-placed teams.
In 2025, the two teams that finish bottom of Division 1A will be replaced by the top two teams in Division 1B which will also feature seven teams.
The 2024 Master Fixtures plan and relevant regulations were also approved today and will be released by the CCCC next week.
As expected, USGAA will compete in the All-Ireland Junior Football Championship in 2024.
Motions in the name of Central Council and it’s subcommittee were approved for consideration of Comhdháil 2024.
