The GAA and Croke Park are once again pleased to confirm that they will host the Muslim celebration of Eid Al Adha tomorrow, Wednesday 28th June 2023.

Following the success of the event in previous years, this will be the fourth time that the Association’s headquarters will welcome the event to Dublin 3.

GAA President Larry McCarthy said: “Once again we extend a warm welcome to members of the Irish Muslim Community on what is an important date in the Muslim calendar.

“While the challenges of Covid originally led to the celebrations taking place at Croke Park for the first time, this will be the fourth occasion the GAA has hosted the event.

“Our games and activities are for all and I believe the co-operation between the GAA and the Irish Muslim Council underlines our commitment to diversity and inclusion.”

The chairperson of the Irish Muslim Peace & Integration Council, Shaykh Dr. Umar Al-Qadri expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the GAA's support and generosity in hosting such a significant event.

He said: "The continuation of this iconic event at Croke Park is a symbol of hope and positivity for the wider Irish Muslim community, and a testament to the GAA's commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion."
