Kerry adopt wait and see approach with Brosnan
Kerry manager Jack O'Connor says no decision will be made on Eoin Brosnan's availability for the All-Ireland final until late next week.
Brosnan damaged his ankle in a training match in Killarney on Friday night, leaving Fitzgerald Stadium on crutches, and is considered a major doubt for the All-Ireland final against Dublin on Sunday week.
The Dr Crokes clubman, who has been a key player for the Kingdom at centre-back this year, is undergoing cryotherapy treatment, but the full extent of the damage will not be known until the ankle is examined again.
However, O'Connor is still hopeful that the 31-year-old, whom he brought back into the Kerry set-up at the start of the season after a two-year absence, will be fit to face the Dubs at Croke Park.
"We'll give him every chance. We will possibly know towards the end of next week," said O'Connor on Saturday afternoon.
"He's been an important player for us and it would be a pity now if he missed out.
"We'll wait and see."
