The McLoughlins and the McGerrs
The McGerrs and the McLoughlins reflect on their involvement with the GAA in general and specifically with Mostrim GAA Club, Longford. The McLoughlins also discuss their involvement with the GAA in New York and socialising with other Irish people in Gaelic Park on Sundays. Both couples outline the history of Mostrim GAA Club and recall its successes since 1974, when the senior team won the county championship. Furthermore, they discuss the effects of emigration on the club, involvement with Scór, the lifting of the ban on foreign games and dances, and the financial challenges of running a club.
